Requirements for Construction Licensing

 

For companies seeking construction-related licenses, the following requirements apply based on the type of registration:

1. Companies Registered with SSM (Companies Commission of Malaysia)

  • The company and its personnel in charge must have relevant industry experience

  • All main contracts and subcontracts must be executed properly

  • Subcontracts executed by the applicant must be supported with sufficient proof and evidence

2. Companies Registered with the Registrar of Companies (ROC)

  • Financial capability will be assessed based on the company’s paid-up capital

3. Sole Proprietorships or Partnerships Registered with the Registrar of Business (ROB)

  • Financial capacity will be evaluated in terms of net capital worth, which can include:

    • Bank statements of current accounts for the last 3 months

    • Current balance from savings accounts

    • Valid and uncharged fixed deposit statements

    • Bank certification for overdraft facilities (if applicable)

    • ASB (Amanah Saham Bumiputera) shares
